<.< >.>Well, after the cutesy niceness of my last pic, I felt the urge to do one that was... not so nice and not so cute.
Not the most refined drawing ever- didn't bother to clean the lineart up much- but bwahaha, I haven't done a let's-be-mean-to-Sonic pic in a while... yay fun.
*cough* Ahem. Anyway, here's a future Sonic going ANGST. One or two people from the STC2 days might remember how he gets into this pitiful state, but there's no need to worry about that- let's just say I have plans and they are *evil* and leave it there XD
Getting to the point- this pic isn't meant to be angst for its own sake. Yes, Sonic has had some nasty things done to him, and yes, he's crying. But there's still defiance there. He's not broken yet. Angst and hope I suppose?
*is bricked by extremely angry hedgehog anyway*
I'm pretty pleased with he way the blue on him came out. And the eyes. (them being the 'wrong' colour is intentional. In my odd little world Sonic's eyes are an indicator of his condition- a nice glowy green is good... nasty greeny grey? er, that's not so good.)

The eye-color thingy...Thats a really cool idea. Eye colors that change to fit and show emotion. Very nice.

Is that streak of white on his head meant to show his age? I like the torn pieces to his ear and the frizzled patches to his fur--shows that his constant adventuring has taken its toll on his body over the years. The tarnish on the bracelet is a nice touch along that same vein, too.
That is one honeybell of a bionic appendage he has there! 
Wow, there are even little concentric lines around the irises of the eyes! That added details make them really look like eyes. In fact, the furry effects on the rest of his body really infuse realism into this piece-as though this is how Sonic would look if he existed in "our" reality.
The right hand seems so soft, warm and dexterous when it is overlapped with the cold, hard, mechanical hand that he had adorned, probably to replace an injury received years ago. I'm also lovin' that rich navy blue color to his fur: it reflects the darkness that age sometimes grants us...

Thanks ^_^ Sonic (intentionally) looks much older than he actually is, here. He's still, ooh, around the mid twenties. Rather he's been through hell over the course of a year or two that has prematurely aged him, along with the various injuries he has. The white streak is partly due to a patch of scarring on his head, partly due to stress... (i'm so cruel to the poor thing *evil laugh*...)

I always thought that he'd have more claw-like shap nails than nails that look manicured (XD), but the fact that you actaully got down the shape of a hand makes be gape at the pic ^_^

Yep, he's got a white streak XD *is evil* Hehe. I'm wierd about claws. Sonic just has naturally pointed nails, but Super Sonic has retractable claws that come out *under* the nails. Yeah. Wierd

I think this picture is great! I guess I just seem to be in the mood for pictures of yours. I don't know why. Angst is a neat thing to depict. I have a really angsty one planned which is going to be a lot of fun (I'm going to start as soon as I've finished some of my old art... which will still take a while 
Hehe... you have "issues with eyes" too... I like the idea that Sonic's eyes change colours with his mood.
I used to have an issue with Knuckles' eyes. I never liked them being purple so I always did them a light blue. Some people told me off for that. Good thing you warned everyone in the comment about the eye issue. So the over-correct fans are a bit muted.

Hehe, thanks! And I know exactly what you mean about Knuckles- the purple used to annoy the heck out of me. His eyes are a dark indigo blue in all my old pics of him
