Wah! Not a book! O_o...yeah, anyway. Here's some lineart that I can't colour due to losing my wacom pen, and i'm flipping well not doing it with the mouse! Yeah, yeah, half the background is drawn in photoshop. But it does make precise lines easier and you won't be able to tell much when it's coloured, at which point this will go in scraps.
So... here's one grey/white ghostly hedgehog ghosting his way randomly around ARK. People call him Spectre. Actually, he's Shadow, or at least what's left of him after that burning up on re-entry business. A sort of phantom made of Chaos and memories, anchored to our reality by his one remaining inhibitor bracelet.
Every time I draw this guy his design and history changes, probably because Shadow's backstory changes every time Sega release a game D: Think I have him sorted now, and hopefully I've finally pinned down the design... unless Sega do something else wierd <.<'
(Yes. That glass would have blown -out- of the ARK along with all the oxygen, but ARTISTIC LICENSE DAMMIT)
Will be coloured. At some point.

hmm... so, this could be Shadow before Eggman somehow resurects him... (that's how I feel he got in the pod anyway) Think about it, at the end of Heros, he knows that Rouge LOVES to go aftwer the master Emerald somehow...

I love the tragedy in this.
For a moment though I thought it was Super Sonic. Or a Sonic between Super Sonic and his non-super self (because of the half-ruffled spines) and he's running out of energy and about to die a gruesome death in outer space...
The story with Shadow is rather horrible as well, though.

luckily that hasn't happen to me, yet. It's sitting right on one of my plastic bins. Although I should have it in a more open spot where I can see it...Heh, heh.
Good line art by the way, even if it isn't finish. Don't happen to see much SA2 fan art nowadays. Even though it's your own fan version.
Kinda makes me feel weird that he's a ghost in this. I knew fans demanded him badly to come back, and loose plot holes emerged from their depths. However, I don't blame Sonic Team for this inconvenience. Stupid Sammy. But whatever, game plots aren't meant to be epic, well some are, some aren't.

Simply wow, this is amazing. True it's a shame you can't colour it right now, but seeing lineart before it's coloured is great because it lets me see the kind of effort that goes into it.
Kind of wish I could colour this but I know I'd mess up ^_^;
Hope you can find the pen for your tablet, I had a problem loosing mine too (good thing I couldn't use it to begin with and didn't even have the time to get used to it).

Is the reflection Shadow/Spectre sees in that shard what he was in the past? I see no half-lidded eyes so that must be the case X3 *gleeful squeal*
I'm in awe of your hedgehog quills woman. STILL. You manage to make them so uniquely you. No problem with artistic license, I think. If it breathes, goes fast (well, used to) and uses chaos control, I don't see how anyone couldn't use artistic license!
