Description
This is one of my best works in some time... XD Well, IMO.These are OC's of mine and Serpientealada, In fact, they're the characters that are featured in our trailer for White Wolf's "Hunter: The Vigil."
I wanted to make something comicesque, yet with a tint of Noir, and the words SIN CITY immediately came to my mind.
This has been the first time I used correction fluid to add in details, and I'm very very happy with the results.
The idea was that every Hunter has a little flame that keeps her going when there's no other light, and the fact that everyone has different "flames".
From left to right they're:
Smart Guy - Played by Fernando Cantu
The Warrior - Played by Ulises Lira
Photographer - Played by Mauro Olivares
(Down) Father - Played by Orlando something... I don't know his last name, but he's Serpientealada's cousin.
Take a peek at the trailer, ppl! It's right here:

Hope you like it, ppl.
Cya around.

No problem! I discovered the picture in the description of the trailer. I'm friends with the guy who made the trailer on YT
It's a great trailer, and you really captured the feel of it as well as the game I think.

Oh! Thanks.
You mean Serpientealada? And thanks for watching the trailer. We got mixed critics, and I'm glad we won. (Though I haven't seen any of the prizes)

XD No problem. I'm just trying to stray away from anime.
However, there are those anime-like elements still present on my writting and my visual art.
Thanks on the good comments anyway.

Not much, really. I haven't got any time to draw now that I'm attending college. But I guess I need more detail, more dramatic and dynamic posing...

:0 The rest?
How to say... there is no rest!
The trailer was made for a trailer contest held by White Wolf. (An editiorial of sorts, responsible for many roleplaying hits, namely Vampire the Masquerade and Werewolf the Apocalypse.) This little video tribute was made for the upcoming release of the studio's latest roleplaying production, "Hunter: The Vigil."
However... I really wish we could see more of these characters. XD

buuuu there is no rest hahaha alight... uhm yes I would like to see more of this characters... maybe if you did a comic?... idk the inking and drawings are great... so I think it would be a good result if you continue it.

I had, not for a second, thought about the possibility of a comic based on these guys... Really, I hadn't.
If there's gonna be something like that, it'd be probably based off a roleplaying session.
I will definitely consider the idea of making a short something about them... as bad as I am with angles and action poses and stuff... I maaaaay try it.
I won't be able to thank you as much as I should for this wonderful idea.
For now this should suffice... "Thanks."

Really you don't need to welcome a thing, I'm glad I have helped and if you do something else I would be happy as hell, really.
And you are good with angles.. don't worry you will do a good job.
If you need any help, just tell me

I could really really use a penciler. Really. I can do inks, but getting good angles and dramatic shots and great action scenes ain't my area of expertise...

adeeh In reply to SwitchbladeCavalier [2008-08-03 02:22:28 +0000 UTC]
Oh ok... uhm well you can take reference pictures or ask a friend to take pictures of you on the angles you need... but if the angles are sort of impossible or you can't have good shots, you can use a max steel or an action figure (since the reference wood figures are expensive)... really it works pretty nicelly, at least with barbies ^^

SwitchbladeCavalier In reply to adeeh [2008-08-03 02:27:46 +0000 UTC]
XD Well I got a wooden figurine, but IMO it doesn't really help as it should...
I ain't taking this comic thingie seriously yet... just as some personal, recreational project... so it is too soon to speak of reference pics... I'll give it a thought.

Yeah uhmm... I wanted to make the finish a little comicesque... something pulp, something noir... don't know but I like the result.
And BTW... I play that guy, so he's sorta based on me XD.
You should watch the video! (cheap advertising on my part, alright...)

What, my art looks like Tarantno's?
Okay... Im sorta tired of comparisons for now... I'd rather be flattened to hear it looks like Frank Miller's... but then again it aint THAT good... yet.
Enjoy the video! ^ ^

tarantino, miller? pff both are genius.. hahaha ok let's stop the comparisons but like I have said like 3 times before I like it... shum I'm gonna fav it.
Yep I have just seen the video... really cool work and this drawing is much like the trailer... oh and for last the one who managed the camera is doing a good work it has good shots and it doesn't trembles every 2 seconds or something... so good job... again.

Thanks on the fave! :0
The camera was operated by our main director and friend of mine, ~Serpientealada. you should look him up in youtube, he's got a couple more videos that are worth the watch... Especially his Vampire "Detras de la Mascarada" slideshow. The angles wee though of by him and by me... so thanks again.
(We were using a tripod for most of the still shots, so it shouldn't shake much... XD But for moving shots we did walk around with the camera.)

Ok im going to see the rest of his videos.
And if you helped with the camera you have good perspective, and in the walking shots it doesn`t looks like if you were walking with it.
And you don't have to welcome it, you deserve it.

Pretty good! But why use correction fluid when white ink/paint will do the job better? Correction fluid will flake, thins out, and you are limited with using the applicator. Whereas, if you use white ink or a white acrylic paint, you can use fine pointed brushes to really touch up your own work, or fine-tune the details. You should experiment with white ink.

I bow down to your superior knowledgeability when it comes to comic art, maese. U_U
Alas, white ink was nowhere to be found, and as for paint... I had doubts if it would apply to a black surface XD. I'm just an over-age newbie here, see? Sorry.
Anyways, thanks for the awesome tips. I really appreciate your comments.
