I'm not usually a fan of the copious amounts of fog look, but I felt it offered itself well to this scene. I actually had to go back and re-render, because it needed more fire!

I think without the fog/fire it would look like a 2D fractal.Β It helps so much with the depth off to each of the sides.Β This is a perfect color combo.Β I would love to give this a swing, but I am currently trying to cut back, they can hook you in and not let go for hours.

The colors go well together, but what really catches my attention is the fact that you can see the repetitions clearly, yet with the focus being on the center, they don't distract the viewer. It adds a nice sort of intricacy to this piece! Very well done.
