And so, the Null of Stonehaven found solace and safety from the chill winter winds with one another. With muttered agreements and friendly jostling until one and all were comfortable, fluffy head rested upon frost-nibbled haunch, and cold noses buried into cosy tails. Eventually, the heaving mass of windchilled youngsters settled, and one by one, they dropped into companionable, safe sleep.
