Companion Piece to this previous commission: sxgodzilla.deviantart.com/art/… , this time bringing the fearsome Foot Clan together with a new ace up their sleeve... a vicious mutated Gyaos!Once again, the ever-talented comes through with an amazing piece!
As stated previously, the main genesis of this commission lies with an idea I've been toying with, for a possible story that crosses a mish-mash of the various incarnations/adaptations of the two franchises together (as well as my 'Mutated Gyaos ' concept/submission), but for the sake of the picture, opted to go with the 2003 version of the Foot Clan. It's Shredder is still, IMHO, the ultimate version of that character.
While I love the 80's cartoon in all it's cheesiness and nostalgia, (and Uncle Phil doing his voice) and while the 2012 cartoon has it's definite strong points, this is the version of the villain that (IMHO) best encapsulated what he is/should be. I have similar feelings as well for the 90's Gamera series.
Again, did an awesome job, especially with how he handled the 'Mutant Gyaos' concept, love the coloring on it.
