Another 'Random Sprite' attempt by yours truly, this time delving deep into 80's cartoons to bring you the main villain of the sister/follow-up series to 'ThunderCats', 'SilverHawks'.

Mon*Star, or MonStar, the intergalactic 'mob boss' of the Limbo Galaxy, was one of the more memorable villain designs of that time, even without this 'super-powered' armored form. Like his contemporary 'Mumm-Ra', he too would recite a ritual chant to the dark powers of this 'Moonstar of Limbo' that empowers him (hell more like literally has it ripping out from inside him if the animation is anything to go by) into this towering bulked-up form. He was the defacto leader, the man who called the shots, and the guy just about EVERYONE feared in some way.

I'd love it if they remade SilverHawks in the style of the sadly short-lived 2011 ThunderCats, as he'd be one badass-looking som'bitch. Hell they technically DID... as his face shows up on a computer screen in one of the first episodes for a brief moment. Whether this was to lead to something later on is anyone's guess at this point because Cartoon Network cancelled it after one fuckin' season, and I'd never really trust them now... not after 'Thundercats Roar'.

Made this using the body of the 'Golden Axe' boss from the "Golden Axe" fighting game spin-off. Originally was trying to make a body for another villain when I decided to try and go in a different direction. Had to stretch him back out to the original proportions. The head originally came from another person's sprite edit/pixel art piece based on Mon*Star (THE SOURCE I DO NOT KNOW, CAN'T SEEM TO LOCATE IT'S ORIGIN). I a did a few small tweaks here and there, added shoulder pads from 'Death Adder' (from the same fighting game)
