Description
Apophysis and PhotoshopI put many hours of work into this one, but I think it was worth it. Then again, it's something I love doing, so I can't really complain about the time as it always seems to fly by while I'm working. I love these colors together, surprisingly enough. They aren't my favorite colors, but I called upon the lessons I learned in my color theory class back in the day (thanks Mr. Tesner!) to achieve a balance of meaningful colors.
I hope you like this one as much as I do.

Well, this is just plain gorgeous. Your teacher taught you well, but ultimately the artistry comes from you.

Oh yes what a beautiful image. I love how the background fades from one colour to another. Beautiful spiralling shapes as well. Well worth your time and effort - you should be proud!

It is amazing! It reminds me of my dreams. An endless swirl of situations spriling downward, reliving them over and over. That frame is outstanding!

I often dream of fractals. I wonder, if before I even knew what fractals were, I was still dreaming bout them and just didn't have anything to equate them with.
I've loved fractals for a long time though, so it's hard to remember any dreams i had that far back!

i love how some of them are at an angle...looks so dimensional, like i could touch them...
and the frame and glowiness are great, again!

this is beautiful! i have been meaning to ask, how do you put a gradient background behind your fractals? i would like to do this very much!

I render the flames with HQI which saves as a transparent png. In Apophysis, go to File>Export Flame and save as a .png. HQI will open a dos window, don't close it. It will close when it's finished. Easy as that

Beautiful The depth of it is amazing!
On the idea of the Transient Nature of Existence ... I had a teacher use Sartre as an example to describe the concept :confusd: I still don't get it, though-ed ... I chose to be born ... even if I didn't know I made that choice? Anyway, the piece is gorgeous

Thank you!
Aside, if you chose to be born, do you think you also chose when you will die? Maybe it is all predestined.

You're welcome
In Sartre's theory, yes Then, however, I choose to never die even though my body would cease... would that mean I could live forever, and if so, would it be the same as before in my previous body? No, it would be that I would be just dead. Therefore, his theory is a bit faulty. For Death is the ultimate tranquilty ... why would anyone willingly choose to come back to this horrible reality we exist in? Even if they could come back, by will alone, it would be for other reasons other than "enjoying" life ... and therefore it would probably be like a "Hell" to them.

Wonderfully subtle textures and colours in that one. I love the border too, and the way you've matched the gradient in it to the gradient in the fractal. Well done!
