Or almost, until he decided that he didn't want to eat his tail.Discord could have probably been the first Ouroboros to decide "You know what, my tail tastes terrible. Do I really have to eat it? Actually, I know of something better: chocolate milk rain!"
For those of you who may be lost, an Ouroboros is a symbol of a dragon or serpent eating its tail, usually shown in a circle and representing the idea of cyclicality. I was partially inspired by a pony fanfic I read a while ago called Apotheosis, and partially by thinking it would be cool to draw discord inhabiting this symbol. Then I thought, well why would he conform to the normal standard of the symbol anyway, and thus this...

Thank you! You know, I've never thought of a "being of entropy" as a term to describe Discord, but it totally fits because he is a being of disorder and randomness. Perhaps I will start doodling Discord on my thermodynamics homework...

ell being a lovecraftian before a brony, i always attributed him to a highly toned down azathoth or nhyarhlotep. also /) for that doodle comment, and just think: you can use the excuse, "i did my homework but an entity of discordance and entropy reverted its state to one of living organic matter.. so i do still have it but..." *hands a small potted plant to the teacher*

I've never actually read any Lovecraft, but I love the ideas and the kinds of creatures he imagined. I also drew Discord on quite a few of my Probability homework assignments with Discord poking fun at a problem, or just making amusing comments about the assignment itself. It was enjoyable.
As far as giving a potted plant to my professor, I don't think it would go over that well but it would definitely be a far better excuse than "my dog ate it". *see there, that's where I wrote my heat transfer calculation, but the leaf is in the way*

*snickers* yea that is true.. most professors wouldn't take that too well... and as for lovecraft i agree. he is actually my fav. sci-fi writer next to issac asimov, and pop culture has enveloped his lore in all folds.. there i a spider called cthulhu, dr. who spin off novel have version of the eldricht abominations, wh40k dead space and mass effect pay heed. D&D ha a well, dead mou5 iron maiden metallica, and many other bands have paid tribute in their songs, stephen king ha paid tribute and his novella turned movie the mist i straight out of lovecraftian lore. and over half the horror games and movies pay tribute.. hay even anne rice has taken from him and shes almost exclusive to vampire books... and even mlp has made one or referances
