EDIT : I used MMD ver9.23 in this tutorial. It probably won't work for older version.Prolly my worst tutorial ever.

are you sure the model you're using doesn't have spas, or did you delete them yourself? I know that by simply disabling them works fine, and I can show you how.

i did delete them but i will double check if i got them all. but it may be because i made my model(its a tda edtit) and i am a total noob at pmx editor. i barley know the basics.

i just tried it on a different model it is really bright but useing the light control panel i made it less blinding. but how do you use maps without messing the effect up??

I think I can help you. I had this same problem. So when you remove all the spa you look at the box besides the words Reflect. if you have Japanese it's the second box besides the color choice of the textures. If it's 5 on all of them then it's good. but they may be.... 50? if I am correct. You then change every one into 5. Then tada! I hope this help for you people who have bright models.

When i open the model and load NchlShader2.fx, the models just looks REEEALLY bright 0-0

oh, thats nothing to do with the shader. all you have to do is drag all the files for the model in it with the model itself in to mmd

I dunno why but every time I use this shader on TDA models, they turn white. I loaded everything in and got rid of the spas.... But they're not working for me. Can you help me? Thank you.

sorry for late reply but maybe this might help. if you cant load it directly. try opening the sample by right clicking it and then open it with MMD. there might be a few errors trying to load the effects: (eg HGSAO softlight a) but just load them manually and you should be a able to load them

Mistress: This is pretty nice but the problem is that it murdered my amy rose model that i dld xD! She turned super white as a ghost except for her dress, shoes, head band, gloves the wrist part and the eyes. It made the rest white and holy crap I tried putting on the effects from the folder within and it didn't come out like yours xD! Lol it came out like a crappy thing. But thanks for making this tutorial very helpful. Hopefully it works on a model.

How come when i load the sample.pmm in mmd it starts to lag is it supposed to lag

I was looking forward to using this effect, but it says: "The following effect does not exist", and something gibberish after it, while the files names are in Japanese.
And when I load the effect, it looks... Weird...

Ah! I figured it out!
In the Light Manipulation tab, set the "R" , "G" and "B" to the same value. (The lower, the better) (Mine are set to 24. 30 is good too)
And set the "Y" and "Z" to +1.0, you can change the "X" however you want. (You can play around with them though!)
