I cannot help but assume that even as the Lady inhales the particular fortifying essence of the candle, which seems to cause her long flowing locks to take on the identity of the flame -- that somewhere, somebody unknown is finding that their own candle is burning down by both ends. Their strength steadily winking out, the vitality in serious doubt.

I absolutely love the expression of the subject here. She drinks in that fume with such self satisfaction. You just know that it isn't her deep love of evaporating wax that ends this installment.
