This is a tale I sometimes find ridiculous and misogynistic when I think about it, in the sense that being prissy and oversensitive does not reveal a "real"princess in my opinion, , but well... It also means that she is truly exceptionnal.
I felt sleepy and thought it would be interesting to paint something new here.
By the way, thanks again for all the support of my new (and old) followers, and all the sweet comments you addressed me since my DD. It means a lot to me.

Andersen's fairytales are very inspiring and have their very special style. It is sometimes intriguing with a sad ending, but I must say most of his tales made my childhood, especially the Wild Swans and The Little Mermaid.

ça me fait penser à La Belle et la Bête (hé oui encore eux lol) quand Belle s'effondre sur son lit quand elle est faite prisonnière par la bête.
Mais mis a part ça ton dessin ou devrais-je dire ton œuvre est superbe les couleurs l'expression du visage tout est wonderfull

Cette couleur, ces drapés... Sombre mais à la fois lumineux. Probablement près d'un feu de cheminée....

So true! I discovered recently some of our traditionnal fairy tales like Cinderella or Sleeping Beauty were actually very different from those we are used to be told nowadays. It's imbelievable how some fairytales were appaling and mysogynistic. I already felt there was something like that in tales like The Princess and the Pea or Blue Beard, and I'm always interested in all the different meanings one can suggest out of those tales.
