I was asked to draw Derpy as a Powerpuff Girl similar to Bunny.I know the issue is pretty old, but it makes me wonder. Bunny IS retarded, no doubt about it. Not only that, but she died. Yet no one raised a stink about it when her episode aired, that I can recall.
The original Derpy had a voice that indicated she was a bit slow, and she is clumsy. And somehow this crosses a line. Times have changed, I guess.

i know. i want to make a whole video just adressing the fact that BUNNY got to live and not have her SLOW VOICE altered but DERPY does... it's Amazing what the internet can do i guess 
anyway i love the picture of Derpy this way, i never would have thought of the Bunny version for Derpy but it works

I watched 'Twister Sister' the other day, and bunny is indeed slow. She's voiced by the woman who did Dexter's voice, funnily enough, who played a child with a very high IQ. It's sad what happened to bunny, but I suppose if were to happen now, they'd be some issues. The PPG did get away with a lot, but it was critised for its violence in some scenes, so I've heard.

I suppose I wouldn't doubt that there were some violent scenes worth being criticized, what with monsters getting stabbed in the throat or having their eye ruptured.

Or maybe when Mojo, Him, fuzzy and the rest of villians get their teeth smashed (and the bit of blood in the opneing sequence.) They really don't make cartoons like that anymore. It makes me so sad. At least Craig got his little girls out there in the 90s rather than later, it probably would have been so different now (I can't imagine my childhood if the PPG never came along)
I've noticed the violence tends to be on Buttercup's part, she loved to beat those crooks up.
