Description
"Stand back, let 'em pass."Grazers are large herbivores native to Africana, Europa and parts of the Mid-Lands. Grazers are a calm, peaceful herd species. Grazers are often found traversing through human settlements and no one will bat an eye.
Grazers were once a livestock animal, but as soon as the species escaped into the wild and adapted, they became something entirely new. Despite this, Grazers are still used as mounts, in caravans and as livestock. Grazers are one of the species of the plains that people just can't do without.
Grazers assume the classic position of "females and children in the center, while males form a circle to protect them", when attacked by predators. This tried and true instinct still holds true to this day, and many herbivore herd species still use it.
Various Facts:
- Grazers can reach 7 feet in height, 16 feet in length and can weigh over 4 tons
- Grazers can run at speeds reaching 14 miles an hour.
- Grazers can live for 79 years.
- Female - top, Male - bottom
- Grazers use their tusks to uproot plants and trees for feeding.
- Grazers' naturally thick hide protects them from most weapons and predators.
- Male Grazers, like most species like this, compete for dominance. They do this by seeing who can flip the other over first.
- Grazers are the first choice as mounts for plains people. They will be seen riding into battle atop their armored Grazers, ready to defend their territory.
- During mating season, in an odd twist, females become enraged. In their frantic search for a mate they will attack just about anything that crosses their path.
- Grazers sleep standing up.
- All Grazer herds have an Alpha-male and Alpha-female.
