I DO NOT OWN L, OR THE ANOTHER CHARACTERS FROM DEATH NOTE, INCLUDING THE IMAGE BUT I DON'T KNOW WHO THE ARTIST IS, I JUST FOUND IT IN GOOGLE. I DO NOT OWN THE ORIGINAL STORY, I JUST WRITE THIS FOR FANGIRLS LIKE ME.

It's late, around 1:00 A.M. and you just want to sleep, but you still have a lot of paperwork to check before the next day; you are on your living room sitting with lazyness and a cup of coffee while you are staring at the files in your laptop.

"Damn, I hope I don't fall asleep before I finish to analyze this case..." And then, you put your cup of coffee in the table, and your barefoot too (well, at 1 A.M. you were in pijamas, right?). you were a highly recognized detective from the whole world, because you solved any case you've investigated, even the hardest ones.

Then, you realized that you got some thigs that you were obsessed with, in your refrigerator, and walked to it. Then you opened the door, and your eyes shone with happyness. "Come here babies!" you said, and took a big box of delicious chocolates of all kinds. You were delighting with them when you arrived to your table in the living room, and you saw the screen went pitch black.

"OH MY GOD, MY LAPTOP! My files...! Am I not going to finish this case ever?! Damn it!" You said, thinking of what could go wrong with your laptop. And then, a big "L" covered the screen with a white background, and you let out a surprise exclamation. 'What is that?' you thought. And then, an encrypted voice contacted you.

" (Y/n), this is L." It said your name. Amazed still, you dropped your jaw even when you had some chocolates in your mouth, and tried to swallow them the fastest you can and you waited, before reply.

"I know you have been working in a murder case, but I am working in the Kira case, as everyone knows. This is our priority, and I need one more element in the work, with skills like yours." The encrypted voice said.

"How do I know you are the real L, and not a hacker? Because if you're a hacker, I'll catch you, no matter who you are." you just said, but you weren't sure if you were be able to catch this person, that could contact you in your protected laptop.

"(Y/n), I'm not a hacker, but if you don't trust me, you can check your bank account in the morning, I left you a gift that could be enough for you to travel to our headquarters. After that, I will contact you and wait for your answer. By the way, If you wanted to catch someone like me... I really like your entusiasm. See you later." And the encrypted voice cut off the call.

"My bank account? What the... Why would L contact me? I don't think L will contact me." You just sat and saw your actual case files, intact. 'Uph, thank goodness my files are safe. I will read two pages more and I'll go to sleep' you thought. "Ah, five minutes of rest won't kill anyone" you said, and closed your eyes for a while.

And a "while" later...

When you opened your eyes...

"OH MY GOD!!! 8:35 A.M., I'M LATE!!!" You screamed horrorized, then you prepared and dressed quickly, running to your work. It wasn't very far away, like three miles from your house, but you just swallowed your breakfast and ran out with your work-things.
You made almost all the way to your work, when you saw the bank across the street, and looked at your watch. '9:15 A.M., it must be open' you think. Then an idea crossed your mind, knowing you were 15 minutes late from work.

'I don't even remember if that call at night was a dream or not. Now, I know I'm crazy' you thought, and you crossed the street, going to the bank. When you checked your bank account...

"Oh-my-Goood..." You said, with your ayes very widened, and the guard saw you like, if you have seen a ghost. "Are you alright, young lady?" The guard said to you, and you just jumped, scared and surprised, trying not to let the guard check your account state. "I'm fine! I'm sorry, I just forgot that my taxes were discounted" you said politely. "Ah, is that so? Well, don't forget that things again, and have a nice day." he said, and you answered nodding your head. When you were out of the bank, you let a long sigh out.

'A million of dollars." you think, "A million of dollars in my accont. Now I'm sure he is L, and he got me. If he pay this money, that means he really needs me.' And then, you took yor cellphone and called your boss. "What is it, (y/n)? It's almost 9:30 A.M. and you haven't arrived here yet. Are you okay?" he said to you, and you answered. "I'm fine, thanks, but I'm afraid I can't go to the work today, Sir. I have to settle some personal things, I hope you understand" you said. "(y/n), you know we need you in this important case, and if you are not sick, I must discount you the day, you undestand right?" he warned you, thinking you will go running to the work. "I understand Sir, but really, I HAVE to settle this things, I'll explain later, I promise. I'll come back soon." And you hung up the cellphone.

'Discount a day? Pfft, with a million of dollars, I don't care how much you discount off of me' you thought, and went running to your house, expecting a call in your laptop. But your laptop never changed in hours, and you started to worry.

"Aw, come on, I just left my work to talk with you, and you just don't call. Come on, L." You told yourself. And five minutes later, you got a call, in your cellphone. Private number.

"Yes?" you said, a little concerned. "(y/n). I hope you know why am I calling you." That singular voice said. "Yeah" you said, "I saw your "gift" in the bank. I say, it was a huge surprise. When do you need me?" you asked, eager. "Today, if it's possible" he said "and now that I assume you are agreed, I can tell you some instructions, right?" he asked. "Right." You answered. "Good, the first thing you have to do is to buy a ticket to Japan, in (X) airline and (Y) flight. When you arrive, a comrade of mine will be waiting for you. Do you understand?" he asked after giving all the instructions. "Crystal clear, Sir. Is that all?" you asked. "Yes it is. Farewell, (y/n)" And the call ended. 'I am crazy for doing this, but if L needs me... I want to get Kira and make justice!' you thought with determination.

And after the call, around the 12:45 P.M., you just looked over your house and searching for some useful things for a long trip. "I guess this is going to be very, very interesting" you said, as you pulled out some suitcases from a closet.
