No, it is based upon a whim. A sacred grove just refers to a grove of trees that was a pagan worship site.

my bad.... I don't know if youve ever played TP, but in it there was a "Sacred Grove" with a creepy kid that looks a bit like your friend here. And then he'd have these other creepy thangs follow you around that were like puppets.
