Description

A little squirrel chap inspired by Autumn and Scotland…

Starting from today I’ll be folding a miniature paper creation every week for a whole year (whether consecutive weeks or not as the case may be…) in an effort to stay creative amid the craziness of life and new job and exams.

Hope you’ll enjoy this journey with me!

+ Folded from a 1.8 x 1.8cm square
+ Using a traditional design
+ The 52 Weeks of Tinygami project can be followed here, on my website or on Instagram by following #52weeksoftinygami

Just my fingers actually, I have tried tweezers before when folding cranes but find them too hard to control!

how about bent nosed tweezers? I find them invaluable when getting a crisp fold on tiny paper

synconi In reply to Leixa [2015-09-20 20:16:26 +0000 UTC]

Patience is about it really! I sometimes get really frustrated and have to put it down (carefully, it's so easy to breathe wrong and lose the whole thing) go away for a bit, then come back to continue later...

Lovely work!
I've been trying to make tiny origami to make resin pendants, but the only one I could do was tiny simple origami fox with just a few folds.

synconi In reply to candymax [2015-09-20 20:15:41 +0000 UTC]

Thank you! It just takes a little patience and practice. Starting with simple models is definitely the best way to go- maybe try the traditional crane since that lends itself well to miniature-ness?
