Description
What if Alad V realized what the infestation was doing to him: that it was more than body augments and minions, tugging at his mind, beginning to control him instead? Would he frantically try to remove it? Would the infestation itself try to stop him, or let him struggle in vain, only to continue with its contamination when heβs too tired to fight back?
Too little, too late.

I almost feel sorry for Old Salad here. It's strange, really - he can be so incredibly evil, yet so pathetic he becomes strangely likable. He's kinda like Starscream that way.

Nah no predictions... This was actually meant as an alternate timeline exploration in which Alad figures things out BEFORE he gets to the state he was in during the Mutalist assassination mission. The infestation only spread to his arm and his collar/visor bits, and he ripped off that part of his collar here along with his arm. I started this piece in the beginning of April.
Ended up finishing in excellent timing for the event though. Thanks for the comment!
