That's so awesome! I printed the Fluttershy model using a PP3DP in ABS plastic. If you haven't head of them, check them out, [link]
It took about 3 hours and 41 minutes to print Fluttershy.
I also have access to a ZCorporation ZPrinter 650. Haven't had time to make use of it though.

Nice, an UP!? They look so easy and clear to use. Post pictures sometime of either the UP print or if you get a chance to use the ZCorp printer (I'd love to see them in full color). I'm trying to paint the ones I did print but I'm not the best with a brush

Yes, they are super easy to use. I am actually going to be posting a time lapse video of the thing printing Fluttershy.
I just need to find time and something that spins slowly to show the model at all angles.

I wish I could get my hands on the shop's 3D printer for some pony sculpts!!!

I hear ya, no side projects where I work too (let alone ponies)! Our engineering department has a industrial floor standing printer too (I think it ran them around 40k), but I work in the shop and I may have seen it once.

Yup (when I make time for it)! I can't remember the last time I painted a model so it should be a great project to learn on. Can always print another if I totally botch it up
