This is similar to a scene in my fanfiction The Ballad of Dominic, which contains an incorporation of TATMR into the TVS. In my version, Lady was accidentally injured by Diesel Ten. Ten was later (wrongly) blamed for attempting to kill her, simply on the basis of his power source, and had to leave the Golden Railway (here a live engine preservation railway) for his own safety.
The steam engines on Sodor also believing the lies (TATMR here is a bunch of newspaper stories) also contributed to his hatred of Lady, and of steamers in general.

I wish there was more to the story about what happened between these two before TATMR. What made him hate her that much? I wish HiT would explore that part of the story more.
