doodle from ~ 2 weeks ago, deciding to post now ^_^ featuring my blood bunny bagbean, bonnie.

this was drawn in the very first art program i ever laid my hands on as a little kid: paint shop pro 4.0... does anyone remember using that ??? it was on my mom's old XP computer, i actually didn't know about regular old MSpaint for a long time because i just knew this one was on the desktop lol. it's something i've wanted to come back to and get to work for a while, because i actually like working in deliberately "outdated" art programs. it's a fun and challenging limitation to just work with what you have at your disposal !
to give you an idea: PSP is a bitmap based program from the late 90's that has 1 singular undo and that's all you get, no layers and obviously no support of my modern tablet so you need to use it in "mouse mode" (<-- anyone who's ever had to do that understands that particular pain...) but it's fun.. the "crustiness" of the brushes gives a distinctly dated look that i actually quite enjoy and is something i wish that was easier to emulate in modern art softwares. i dunno. i love modern digital art obviously, but i have a huge appreciation for the OLD stuff too, it's cool to look at the evolution of things.
