.... please scanner... for once make a decent scan =_= ok tried to patch it up with photoshop. The background have purple and pink in it instead of so much blue :\ And Zephyr (the griffin) has more contrast then shown in this horrible scan. Some sparkly silver in the circles on the background too.This is Zephyr who is *LabradoriteWolf 's character! My first griffin I have ever drawn in my life :'D I think Zephyr looks alright for a first time! Tried a slightly different style of coloring (using more color pencils then before). Thanks for trading with me Lab!!!!

Well here is one of these critques!!!! - First, I want to talk about the beautiful wings you did....the detail with all the little lines, and different layers of feathers looks amazing. and the coloring is wonderful as well. However I would have changed the position of the wing, to me it looks just a little awkward...maybe it's just me. Second, the rest of the griffin, expecially for your first one, is wonderful. The detail in the coloring and the glare in the eye is great! The feathers on the back of the head are cute, and the face looks like a griffin should! Overall it's amazing!!!

OMG I LOVE THIS GRIFFIN. so awesome. I really like those eyes. What did you use??? Theres so much lovely texture to it. Haha but when i focus on the areas with black dots i think of slightly burnt fried chicken. I dont know why...

I used watercolors for a light colored base then layered loads of watercolor pencils on top to make the shading.
