Description Just a 'welcome back kotter' to myself after finally finishing my computer. A sketch from my sketchbook and about an hour coloring. I can imagine the hulk actually getting ticked when he's trying to read. I sure as heck would.

This is a cool sketch, I think the proportions are a bit off though. Hulk being as big as he is, the size of his head in comparison to the body as we see it looks odd because it makes him look like he has an average, perhaps even short build. Because in comic art we're trained to judge a character's size based on the size of the head in relation to the body, Hulk just doesn't look like his gigantic self here. The anatomy is well done of course, and the simple coloring works well.

I never knew that. That's really helpful thanks

That's why a lot of instruction books go into head measurements for comic characters. The more heads high = a larger character. If you notice the average Hulk drawing, his head seems pea-sized in comparison to his body, while, say, Wolverine's head seems a bit larger compared to his own body because he's a really short guy.

Glad I could be of service!

The Hulk has no neck! But that's to be expected of the massive, muscle structure of this macho mutated man! But his face seems kinda wierd to me. Like I've seen it before. Maybe you made him look a lot like one of your previous drawings or something. And, uh, welcome back
