Bug sex. Baby oh baby.Ummmm. suggested I upload this to National Geographic's Your Shot.

I think upping the saturation is fine on any picture until you get to the point where someone could look at it and go "she upped the saturation". At that point it's too much. You want people to be involved in the image, not your process.
Unless you DO want them to be involved in your process. Depends on your art I suppose. But in this photograph, I think you want them to be all about the picture, right?
But that's just this photographer's opinion. That's a whole murky world of photographic ethics ---journalism vs. art and so forth.

I like that the bugs are having sex on the flower, because it's multiple layers of sexual activity here (flowers being basically all about plant sex, yeah baby)

Now that I'm looking at it in black and white I think I might like the color version better...but that might just be because I saw the color version first.

Okay, I'll upload the color version. I upped the saturation... I dunno, I need you to help me figure out how it looks best. Should I leave it untampered with?
