Description
Nightmare Moon (or Night Mare Moon?) from new My Little Pony series. Kinda freaky representations but works...also, sky in background looked empty - just added some lightnings, problem solved. |>I decided to give this a try because I needed something not that anatomy strict to draw and these ponies are just something that "forget everything you knew about real horse anatomy, just have fun and don't forget ridiculously big eyes".
Note I'm not a fanatic fan so cut off all that stuff.
Liner, black ink, white ink, aquarels, colour pencils. (White paints hate me.)

Oh wow, I haven't seen MLP-related artwork of such quality made with traditional media for a while... not even mentioning a quite rare character it features (NMM doesn't get so much fanart nowadays).
I really like your own stylistic interpretation of the character, it somehow close to the show yet there is an unique touches in her design/anatomy that makes her much more interesting. I especially like the way you decided to define her body with highlights.
This is really thing of a beauty and it is somehow sad that you aren't really a fan, because I'd love to see Princess Celestia, her sisters, from you.

I don't like digital media so much and what I know it seems overrated with ponies, so of course I do unlike mainstream. I somewhat like these new designs, especially just alicorns since their more taller and adult appearance. (Pastel colours are a bit so-so, I prefer strong colours but who knows...at least Celestia is white, not baby pink.)
