..."quick" because this shouldn't have been any good tuto. But now it is. <3 I hope. And quick because you don't have to paint whole moon. It's all about the effects.Download this if it makes something weird.
Yea, done with version seven but I think it works with most of Photoshops...
Feel free to use this creatively. After this I don't wanna see any worse moons from you. <3 Har har har.
The example picture. ...where the moon is a bit different because I made this tuto afterwards so I did the moon again... |3
By the way, change some values if it doesn't look right. "Lord of Holy Darkness" 's height was originally ~3000px ...so the moon was a quite big too.

I just tried it and now i made a blue moon who has a 'Aura' too ^^ (made outer glow BIG ^_^)
And now I not only know how to make wonderful moons, I finally know for what the filter option is here xD

Have a Windows Vista, change it look like Windows -95 version and change colours...Photoshop goes the same automatically (but you can be happy if you DON'T have Vista...)

The moon looks really cool and realistic, sort of. :3
Though I think maybe blurring the sides of the moon can make it look better by blending it more with the background.
Eh. Great tutorial, though. Because usually my moons would look more like a giant white dot.

I saw a lot of tutorials...But the moons there needs always a lot of time..
This is a realy quick but a realy good way.
And the moons looks still great...
Sometimes the easy way is the best^^Β°

If you dont feel to answear somethink..Than dont do it.
Maybe you will have in the next days the wish to write english textes.. or feels good to answear some things... People can wait^^
