<<<Metoku back to 2006. Later I got an idea about a digimon based Finnish swear words and their origins, and Perkelemon would have been perfect Perfect form for that. In 2008 I adopted Perkelemon - Meto didn't have anything too special use for him and I promised to keep him and his evolution line good (and to make Perkelemon a bit better and more digimonish than that only picture from 2006). I tried draw revamped version of Perkelemon in 2008 and 2009 but both somewhat failed. Now when we discussed randomly about our monsters last Saturday, I got sudden inspiration to draw Perkelemon (like, finally!) again and now it became something good. Meto approved too. >>>>

Perkelemon

Name origin: Perkele is an ancient Finnish god of thunder, whose name originates from Latvian word perkons or Liathunian perkunas, each word meaning thundergod. Perkele is also personification of evil and popular swear word in Finland. Maybe because of that, there's a story that German soldiers thought that "Perkele" is the most popular name of horse in Finland.

Perkelemon is literally one high horse. He's powerful and proud of it, he easily looks down other monsters. He silences little annoying insults by a lightning strike, but when he really loses his nerves, THEN he shows who he is by mighty roaring thunder, great lightningbolts and raw power. However, he listens if somebody talks to him with good, respectful manners. He won't make random favors, though.
Electric sound buzzes around him - specifically on his wings. He doesn't have eyes, but his inner sight is even better. It has something to do with electromagneticity.
Perkelemon is a vaccine digimon, though far away from clichéish ever-so-good personality. He doesn't trust anybody as much as himself, and only side he's on is his own. Not evil but definitely not good.
Is said Perkelemon can pull thunderclouds towards wind and bring thunder wherever he wishes.

Digialphabets on his chest says "Ukkonen" (splitted in "ukko" and "nen"). Ukko is also an ancient Finnish thunder god (and the main god), while "ukkonen" means thunder. Perkele and Ukko are most probably the same thing, Perkele being older name.

And now the random part: Timing is great. Right now there's thundering a bit outside.....
