New year, new ideas... Here ya go, Shadow Lugia... |3This is one of the pictures I love. It came out really well... Blueish-black Lugia is also one of my favourites.
The title is influenced by Stratovarius, one Finnish white heavy band I listened when making this pic...

I love the lighting and sense of motion as the sleek, graceful Dark Lugia erupts from the placid water. It's very beautiful and dramatic. Great marker work, too!
My only crit's with the moon, though not for its lack of detail, like gajus was saying. I think the dark shading around its edges takes away from the idea that it's a light source. It would look better with much, much lighter shading, IMHO.

interesting pose and variant of the Dark Lugia
but quite too slim, too muscular for my personal taste. Looks like a hybrid of anthro and land-dinosaur, not the way a typical Dark Lugia would be. Plus - as many artists do - you added one more leg bone then Lugia really has
That way you drew it is some kind of Alien vs. Predator-Style. Cool and technical very nice, but the character design is...well...matter of personal taste.
Pitily the moon in the background lacks any craters or other structures - so it's just a plain white light bulb with nice shadowing, but not more.
The water effects are awesome, too bad they only begin on the lower half of his tail and downwards.
Anyway - nice pic. Not my style, but really good.

As you see, I've changed cartoonish pokΓ©mon to realistic being. If you're a cartoonist, stay back. I'm a realist indeed.

Lugia has waterproof, sleek skin, so water won't stay on its skin a long time.
