Description
This cartoon is a follow up of sorts to [link] . It introduced the Doctor's second companion, Cassie but she was never shown, just a voice at the end of the cartoon. I can't remember whether this idea hit me towards the end of working on that cartoon or shortly after finishing it but I wanted Cassie to have formal introduction. I started getting more ideas after completing that piece, and it wasn't until I started having long chats with that a plot started to really get formed out. Cassie at least how I thought towards designing her look is meant to be a combination between the two concept sketches out there for the never produced cartoon series of Doctor Who by Nelvana. At one point during plot development suggested she be some thing of a female Aladdin. As a head nod to the part of the world that the story of Aladdin comes from, at one point during the cartoon I put a Persian rug in the background. Although her people being middle Eastern is unsaid and not meant as any real world culture for how little is shown. It's taken me over two months to make this cartoon outside of pre-planning. Software had to be bought and I had to quickly learn how to use it, at least quickly in regards to Anime Studio 6. Most of the creative software on my computer was used in the making of this, and new software had to be downloaded. The list of what was used is as follows in no order:
Corel Painter 4
Paint Star
PAP 4.0
Byrce 5.5
Corel Video Studio 12
MS Paint
Anime Studio 6 Debut
Gold Wave
Home Virtual DJ
GIMP
Virtual Dub.
FlashKicker
Some sounds were provided by [link] and [link] . Other sounds used in the background were bluegrass banjo and a banjo pitch pipe. They represented the Cybermen and the sonic screwdriver, the TARDIS, also part of the theme music. voiced the Doctor and I voiced both Cassie and K-9.
Any one wondering why the lines are almost always shaky it's because it met the approval of those that saw the previews of this a while back. It was done on purpose after that point. Titling it N-Space is a note meant to go off the cannon TV series of Doctor Who but and this is the true reasoning. N-Space is taken from the fact this is inspired off the series "N"elvana would have made.
I have no idea how many hours I spent working on this. All I know is my main entertainment while doing the work was .mp3 audio books. I listened to nearly three whole book series by different authors, a total of over ten books, mainly unabridged. Only one Doctor Who story believe it or not was listened to.
Art that isn't shown well connected to this can be seen at: [link] [link] [link] [link] [link] [link]
I hope you guys enjoy this cartoon, it's the most complex & thought out 2D animation I've ever done

Ah there's back story with both of them a little. One previous cartoon (not counting a 15 frame short before that)and some art. Thanks a ton though and for faving it! The climax was the first part I animated in the project which is what you're talking about
.
There is a third cartoon on the way but people keep being lazy about voice acting.

It's...odd, to say the least. Very good animated french film about the attack of the "Metal Men" made in the 80s. If you've seen "The Fantastic Planet" then this is almost a sequel although completely unrelated in story and setting but it has much cleaner, crisper animation with less hard shading and is by the same person

Yeah, and it's been a fave of mine for a really long time. My second earliest Wacom tablet piece was fan art off the movie, would you like a link to it ?

Wow, it's really great! I like the "texture" of the picture so much, looks like something with oil pastels or paints. I like the effect of the extra red highlights on the body as well, they make the neagative status of the metal men really clear and look really artistic too I love this picture.

Thank you . Um I might be taking another shot at making a deviant going off of that movie later since my skill with the tablet has gotten better since when I made that piece
. Also thank you very much for faving it, becoming a watcher of my work and the llama badge
