wonderful monochrome work...i myself am no great lover of acrylic, but you make great use of the medium.
you seem to have a real clarity of vision...i applaud that.

Thanks a lot! I actually prefer acrylic to oil. It's a toss up between Acrylic, guache and watercolor for me though.

i enjoy oils, watercolour, even tempra....not a fan of acrylic...it pisses me off.
i enjoy working in oils most, due to the tactile quality of the paint.

I worked with oils for a few years before I gave up on it... I like to work fast. I would like to work more with guache and start working with tempera (I'm a tempera virgin)... how would you describe it?

rather tempermental at times, but you have a great freedom in editing and adding layers to the image...and the intensity of colour is fantastic. it's nice because it's a very stiff medium, so you can easily achieve textural effects.

What are the average costs? I've never looked into it even though I've really thought about it as a future medium to attempt to work with.

yesh. not too cheap. smaller tubes are just a couple of bucks, but bigger ones range well over ten...though they usually last for awhile unless you're doing a very thick impasto.
