My next collection of drawings are to commorate Michael Jackson's history in music videos. (not in any particular order) There is no doubt that he has brought originality to the medium that no-one else can immitate yet use him as in inspiration.Here we have "Remember the time", a song about a long lost romance between two people that is being rekindled by their unexpected reuniting.
The music video is set in Egypt during the time of Pharaohs and Queens. It features Eddie Murphy, Iman (David Bowies wife) and Magic Johnson. The story begins with the Queen feeling the need for entertainment, the Pharaoh brings in all manner of entertainers but the only one who interests her is the one and only MJ. He begins to sing to her about their lost love before she became Queen when they were young and the guards set after him to only be confused when he dissappears into gold dust.

I use coloured pencils and chalks with fineliners or indian ink for the outlines on almost all my pics

If you read my comment I mention both Eddie Murphy and Magic Johnson. Eddie Murphy did play the Pharoah but Magic Johnson played the annoucer type person - with the gong. You may remember from the video.

I love this video, it's what has probably what lead me to be so interested in the Egyptians today! I always remember being mesmerised by the special FX, which still look amazing even for today's standards
Great composition for this piece, how you've placed the happy couple right in the centre of the Pharoah and the Queen, looks smashing! The colours really bring out the desert setting, you've even managed to place the pyramids in there! Awesome job!

I found the colour scheme of this video the most powerful next to "Who is it" so I had to show that somehow with the snady browns and yellows. Im so happy you like it, since it's your fav I be so dissapointed if YOU didnt like it
