There's something weird about Knuckles' new design in Sonic Boom, but I just can't put my finger on it... new hair cut?So I'm sure as many of you are all aware, Knuckles had a MAJOR redesign for the upcoming Show/Game Sonic Boom
Personally I don't like it. I think Tails looks awesome, Amy looks OK, Sonic needs a lot more time to get use to, but Knuckles... ugh...
I've been drawing the new redesigns in my sketch book, for some reason the more I drew Knuckles, the more ripped I made him. This was the best from my sketch book
Well the good part about the redesign is that his Sonic Adventure Theme Song makes more sense: "They call me Knuckles, unlike Sonic I don't chuckle, I'd rather flex my muscles"

Sega Employee 1: We need to redesign Sonic and his friends for the new Show/Game. So... Sonic runs around a lot, and he's cool, so how can we improve that?
Sega Employee 2: We make him taller, spike his hair even more, give him some athletic tape, and give him a scarf!
Sega Employee 1: Great! Now, Tails, the fox that uses his 2 tails to fly, he also flies a plane, and is an inventor, hmm...
Sega Employee 2: We give him some flight goggles and a little pouch to keep his tools in. Also give his some athletic tape.
Sega Employee 1: We are on a roll! So Amy is kind of a weak, sissy, girly girl, we need to change her to be more strong and independent, somebody that girls could look up to...
Sega Employee 2: We make her more agile, she use her hammer to swing around all ninja like, while she has her athletic tape on!
Sega Employee 1: This is good, this is good. Lastly, Knuckles, he uses his knuckles to punch, dig, and climb walls
Sega Employee 2: So the obviously we make him super tall and increase his upper torso, then wrap his arms in athletic tape
Sega Employee 1: You sir are a genius!

Someone from the WotLK era in WoW helped design the new characters. How do we make them look cooler? PUT TAPE...ON EVERYTHING!

I can understand why Sonic would need tape on his legs and shoes, and Knuckles on his hands (and Tails just looks cooler with it), but it's too much if you ask me

I'm glad there's more people that don't like this redesign.
As far as I know, it's a one time thing for this game and the TV series. I heard that this was a project being independently made by Sega of America, so it's not going to be the ultimate design of Sonic the Hedgehog. It's more of a "let's give the American's a chance to make a game" kind of thing.

I think that if they kept Knuckles at his normal body height and didn't infuse him with steroids, his new design would actually be good (not too fond of the fingers either, but that's not the major concern)
I think this game is going to be an entirely new series that'll run along with the official series (if the first game/show does well, if not, than just a 1 time thing)
I have no hope for the TV Show, but I know I'll end up watching it anyway
The game could actually have some potential if they do it right (but Sonic has been known to raise up hopes then disappoint)
Metroid Prime was a "Lets give the Americans a chance to make a game" kind of thing, and that did very well, so who knows
