First time drawing Kuriza, Frieza's son.I'll be making a little one shot manga in which he gangs up with his nephew, Cooler's son. They bring along 3 henchmen to reek havoc on Earth.
I wrote down some names Cooler's son might get.
Tell me which one you like or find me a better one! I hope you get all the puns. ^^'
So the henchmen designs are not final yet. But there will be one small fat fella, a tall one with antenna and a tough one with his brains seemingly showing. Can anyone guess the theme behind the concept of these guys?
Anyway tell me your thoughts and I hope to get working on this manga pretty soon.
Oh and ignore the guy on the top right.

I' thinking that if you do a manga for this, you should have Krooler (Cooler's son) Correct Kuriza, constantly pissing him off.

The henchman on the left of Cooler's son has a design based on an actual walnut. I didn't really have any ideas for Crooler specifically. That's just how he came out. Do you happen to know the japanese word for walnut?

Also, when I looked at your design, I had the idea of adding more spikes to his head, so that he looks like the outer shell of a chestnut, but I'm afraid that'd look just stupid.
However I like the design of walnut head down left, he looks like he's wearing an army helmet, which is awesome.
And you did a good job on drawing Kuriza. You need to work on the shape of his head, but I know just how hard it is to get right. I wish I could give any tips on that, but... I can't. <_<
I really hope to see them in manga action soon. X3

I preferred Crooler aswell. You got all the name puns right indeed. The chestnut shell idea actually is a pretty good one. I might use that for a possible 5th form he might have.
So yeah Crooler is a bit older then kuriza and definitely acts like he knows everything. Even when he doesn't know what the hell he is talking about, kuriza totally looks up to him and believes anything he says.
Since you talked about the army helmet guy, the idea popped into my head to have the guy above, who's supposed to be an acorn, some kind of toupet like hat, since that resembles the top of an acorn more.
On the little fat guy I'm kinda stuck with which way to go.
The symbol is a tree for the theme and an upside down chestnut, exactly. Wow you catch on quick.
Do you like the rounded shoulder pads? I think they lack a bit of the oomph of the originals. I'm kinda experimenting with the armor, while still trying to preserve the same overall look.
Anyway one big comment like that of yours is better then several short ones. Thanks! =]

Try to use the outer chestnut shell idea, I really can't imagine it to look anything but stupid, but maybe you'll manage to design something unique this way. ^^
The dynamic between those two cousins sounds awesome. I'd love to see it acted out.
I'm afraid I can't quite imagine what you mean with the toupet like head. Do you have any pictures to clue me in?

Hmm, I do have to admit that I prefer the original shoulder pads. But that's because I'm in utter love with those badass wide shoulders, you'll have a hard time to convince me of something different. I haven't yet seen a single redesign of that armor that I liked. Buuut, apart from that, your desing is good, it's just lacking 'something'. Don't ask me, though.
I like the collar of Mr. Acorn. Looks like an imperial uniform, or something.
Oh, and there's something I forgot to write last time. You must give Crooler the dark lips of an icejin. I don't wanna complain, but he needs them, imho.

But Cooler doesn't have those lips either. Hmmm some of the fat guys are chestnuts aswell and others are peanut/pistache inspired I think. Maybe I will go back to the original pads.
You saw how Toriyama redesigned them in dragonball online?

all the refs I used were straight from the movie and never spotted those lips there.
hehe ^^' now that i look back at the refs i used and other ones, apparently he does have them, but some refs he doesn't, by some strange coincidence i only looked at those.

Ah, I see, Cooler being drawn off model, lookin' kinda cool. Evil trap.
This happened to Freeza as well, just not as often. He on the other hand seems to spontaneously have long fingernails, then short again, then long again, and so on...
But of course there are far worse cases. ... Never trust a screenshot.
