Humanity destroys itself/Only the corruped hold the Wealth/
The poor in numbers grow by the day/
Sinking to the depths of moral Decay/
They waste their wages on Drugs and Booze/
Less the cash and no Mind to lose/
The poverty stricken eternally manifest/
Still having nothing on the day of their best/
They stand ready to kill to live a life/
With a house, two kids, a car, and a wife/
In the alleys of Societies' dregs/
Any happiness smothered by hope's severed head/
The adornments of rich, a scarlet letter G/
of the Deadly Sins: Gluttony and Greed/
The poor lose their money, the little there is/
The rich man keeps everything though it may be not his/
The vagrant will dream of his Succulent meal/
Opposite in the Spectrum rich has nothign to feel/
The lower class ready to Kill for a Life/
The house, the car, two kids and a wife/

i really like it since i can relate to some of what u are getting across
how is the scarlet letter going-do ya like it? i did soph. yr except the book could have been in 100 pages and still got same point across

cool, but i think these "the poor have it so much worse than the rich who are sinning and the middle class who are just getting by" kinds of poetry. it's a little overused.

so? i have yet to see one aside form mine! besides, it was kinda the topic of discussion in sociology, and we're doin the Scarlet Letter in english, so it all kinda leaked in. but oh well. thanks for the comment nonetheless
