felt the sudden need to draw Benson from Toy Story 4, despite only seeing like 1 clip from the whole movie: youtu.be/eerx4FeHvZo?t=36
I fell in love with his expressions and the creaky way his head turns- the animators were so good.
Also I read that he can't speak (being a dummy), but maybe his voice comes from somewhere close to him or something idk

also I kinda don't like that this movie just sorta took the easy road of using the ventriloquist dummies as the evil dudes. I love how creepy they are, sure, but like. . . that seems a bit like low-hanging fruit, villain-wise. Then again the first few villains were all twists so I guess the super-creepy-to-begin-with dudes are sort of a twist. Sorta.
I don't even know what happens to them at the end of the movie (I never watched it). I know cute, misunderstood Gabby got a home- what about the creepy bois?

Ooo It's benson! I love seeing art of benson <3 (especially since there's not many people who draw him) !
Actually, although he can't talk, he does make some noises (and he seems to whisper to gabby in one scene).
They also made him a 'villain' because they did some research (IRL) by going in to different pawn shops to see what kind of toys were there and old fashioned dolls (like gabby) and apparently dummies are what they found the most of//thought they could use as characters (they actually originally had more toys in the store but cut them out b/c they didn't contribute to the story [bobble heads were going to be one of the villians])
I think my favorite scene is when he's sewing at the end (it's super cute how he smiles when he's done but the scene only lasts for a few seconds)
Spoiler (sorry if you don't like spoilers) - he never gets a happy ending though. He's just kinda forgotten ;;
also another spoiler- he's not really 'evil' he just goes with what Gabby gabby says b/c she his only friend; according to the comic (I didn't read I just saw like a page from it) (well other then the other bensons/dummies; I'm not sure if they are all named Benson or just the red bow tie one?? )
