It's a simple drawing I made based on your tutorial. Somehow it turned out differently...I can't get the soft color like you have *sobs*
Any advice you can give?
Oh, and pardon the blurriness cause I don't have scanner so I use my phone's camera...

Oh, hi!
I saw your artwork and it turned out great!
But I saw a little affraid to push a little harder with the pencil pressure while painting... >.>
To fix that issue:the darkest areas where the shadows are, just force up the painting next to the lineart (you must have an image reference to guide, always.) and go make weaker until the painting reaches the same tone as the foundation. but only do this with the lighter colors, okay?^^

Yes, you saw through me. I always afraid of putting darker color because everytime I did that, it turned out awkward...
Uh...well, that one is purely my imagination. However, I have model for this one: [link]
It's also a practice art I made based on your tutorial hehe
I guess you can see I have similar problem with the second one...anyway, I'll try your advice for the next tryout. Thanks for helping me out. I'll be sure to upload the new one (hopefully it'll turned out better that the previous two ^_^ )

Oh, sorry about the late answer, internet fails me and work kills me...
But, I saw your art based on the tuto I made, and I must say that you've improved your skills
But, one advice: put below the wrist or hand a folded paper sulfite, which prevents dirt cruel powder pencil on the illustration.
And when you gonna use dark colors, like black and blue... It must be the last one to use it... colorize the skin first!
Must note that there is some pencils with different chemistry(some crumble, other wax painting). ^^

Yay, thanks~ (thank god no one said I have no talent lol)
Thanks for your advice. Am I still having the same problem as before? You know, afraid to make stronger color...
Eh...really? I never really noticed. I use Faber Castle...

WOW!! This is awesome! I mainly use color pencil
but I think sometimes I have a tendency to push too
hard to achieve brightness. This is a very simple yet
very effective tutorial to follow. GREAT JOB and thanks!!

I don't have tablet too...
But I try to compensate the failed pieces of the sketch painting traditionally and the others digitally.
