Then do you bake it to harden the s.sculpey?

Do you bake it when its complete or while it is still in the sculpting process in order to progess further?

If that is the case, will the exposed armature be a problem with the baking process?

Sorry for the questions, I’m interested in sculpting but have no experience and there aren’t that many good schools for this kind of thing here in Malaysia. I’ m a self learned artist and tend to learn from trial and error.

Thx

hi
Ok, no problem...
1- I do the skull with the teeth (with epoxy)
2- on the skull add a thin layer of Sculpey (pink in this case), and model all, form and details (eg scales).
3- and put into a conventional oven to harden for at least 30 min.
in my experience, nothing happens, the Sculpey does not break.

I hope to have been useful !
bye

I've been experimenting with sculpey 3 for now (gonna try Super Sculpey soon) and I like it.

I want to try sculpting with Ave's Apoxie clay or sculpt but in your method of using both Apovie and sculpey, does the baking process damage the apoxie (it's self-hardening right?)?

Thanks

The teeth are made separate from the rest of the head, right?
