The Sunstone Mk.2-class light mining ship is a frigate-sized military-grade mining vessel commissioned by the UFS Navy Material Logistics Command.
The ship is an improved variant developed shortly after the Sunstone-class was first adopted into Navy service. Most of the modifications involve more lightweight components and slightly more powerful propulsion systems allowing for the installation of shield generators and additional power systems while simultaneously marginally improving overall flight characteristics.
Just like the base Sunstone-class, the Mk.2 is capable of operating with minimal support in relatively hazardous regions of space.
