The PBH-2000 - Sentinel is a special forces variant of the PBH-2000 - Guardian. It fires the same ammunition as the old PBH-1, but is slightly more accurate, has a higher effective range and is slightly more powerful. This version of the gun was designed for special forces units and marine forces who may have to fight power armor wearing or augmented opponents in close quarters.

The weapon's firing mechanism is based on superconductor cartridges that are filled with a special kind of solid fuel. The cartridges are chambered like normal rounds in a semi-automatic pistol. When the trigger is pulled, the cartridge is vaporized, injected into the barrel and accelerated.

The slide is operated by gas pressure and works the same way as on a regular pistol, the ejection port serves as the main heat sink and a way to eject a faulty cartridge.

This method of operation allows for a lighter and less expensive gun than most contemporary particle weapons.

The compact and lightweight grenade launcher can fire a wide variety of ammunition. The firiing mechanism of the HGGL-20 is connected to an ambidexturous switch on the side of the launcher, when pushed forwards it disconnects the trigger from the pistol's firing mechanism and allows the grenade launcher to be fired with the trigger of the main gun. After it has been fired it, returns into it's default position without any further manipulation, thus allowing to follow up a grenade immediatly with pistol fire. The launcher is a muzzle-loading design, a live (or faulty) round can be unloaded with the press of a button located on the bachside of the launcher under the trigger guard of the pistol.
