I haven't read it thoroughly, but it seems well put together. That, and the mockery breeds (almost-Fera bred by Pentex with very different goals in mind) are a great addition to games.

Be glad you don't have to deal with the player. ;D

So... turns out the gift is still in there. In exactly the same wording. Right.

Oh my dear sweet knife-gargling Gaia...
If this gift doesn't get an edit, I must make sure my Storyteller NEVER EVER EVER learns of it.

I really want to bait our group's Bubasti with this just to see what happens, though!

Well... doesn't the Possessed offer a similar thing for a quite low price too? *nudge nudge*

My Shadow Lord Bringer of Light would do such unspeakable, illicit, dirty things to learn that gift.

Yup the Black Spirals should totally let the Gaians know that they have this. Would be the most successful marketing campaign for the Wyrm ever. X)

I may not be familiar with the system itself in the slightest, but that seems to be an extremely mean ability if employed correctly based on the wording alone from my d20 experience. Interesting find.

Yeah, he did well to spot that one! The screencap is from a thread where the authors look for mistakes to be changed for the final version.

Really now? That's a good note honestly. It looks like more and more popular roleplaying systems are doing pretty extensive community review as well as play testing versus the past.

Okay, that is officially broken as hell. The Sabbat would be hiring BSD cubs left right and centre to fuck with the Camarilla. Plus would leaving a bomb in the ancient's lair count as an attack?

Though my Storyteller has just pointed out that a vampire doesn't need to attack to mess you up. They can use Dominate to make the BSD smack themselves in the face with a silver axe. Or use Presence to get a new BSD minion. It's really Hunters who get fucked over.

I'd imagine that it might be errata'd to affect non-supernaturals without a Rage rating. So pretty much humans, animals and Kinfolk. Granted, that neuters it a lot but it is only a Rank 1 Gift. Also, know who else are going to be screwed? The Nuwisha!

Hopefully not XD
Though, the book in general is decent. The fact that PCs can make killing an urge manifestation a goal (instead of the urges just being background noise), and BSds -finally- having a gift that makes them not ping Sense Wyrm, pretty neat.

I only skimmed over it so far, but yes - I liked what I read so far, too. The only thing I never got into, regardless of edition, were all those Pentex insider politics.

Yup, I agree. Pentex to me is best when its not 'pentex, ebil megacorp'. That takes the players too far from what pentex is supposed to be, and it kills the point the concept is supposed to make. Pentex is best when you use names from our world, mcdonalds, karjala, and so on. And don't involve First Teams or the like, just have these products either be tainted or not, with no clear megacorp behind it. That makes the players paranoid over buying anything from the store, because there is no clear signs WHAT is a pentex product and what is not.
