Description This is based on the Klinkerash werecat breed according to the nWoD.
The Klinkerash represent what people have always feared and killed cats for, even though in the real world there has never been even one 'evil' cat. This breed is violent, ferocious, selfish, malevolent, mysterious, insane and has an affinity for more sinister magic. They're not really evil though, but as close to it as it can get. And somehow very fascinating. Since I don't play the New WoD, I consider basing my Ceilican's next personality on the Klinkerash. And I like how the word sounds.

Apart from that, it's some pretty standard shamanic furry art. xD

I referenced from a crow's skull, but it's too wonky to attribute it to any bird in particular. x)

x)I have no patience too. I know how I want the pic to look, and if a day runs out I continue the next... but I still think I'm pretty lazy. I won't polish a pic until it's really perfect when I think it's enough to pass somehow.

I've been trying to be a werecat for years. It's not as easy as it looks. Werewolfery came naturally. I'm glad you see the Shananic nature of it.

And thank you very much.

nunheh In reply to Tacimur [2009-05-06 13:38:13 +0000 UTC]

Welll, it's been known for many centuries, if not milleniums, that spiritusl and meditative execrcises are necessary for the transformation, at least by the werewolves and were-animals in general.

The only bright spots that I'm aware of are the recent Underworld movies, that depict the fact werewolves and vampire are bitter enemies. the only thing is that it gives them a moral equivalence which is not true. Werewolves good, vampires bad. And the werewolves have been given the task of three times a year rounding up the evil spirited beings of all kinds and herding them back into hell where they belong. This happens three times a year, most importantly on All Saint's day after Halloween.
Otherwise, a werewolf is dedicated simply to hunting down evil beings and killing them. And vampires tend to be first on the list.

The other bright spot could be your Werewolf the Apocolypse game. In it's favor, you seem to have the impression that werewolves, or werecats, are not entirely evil, if not good. Which is surely a step in the right direction, and the Shamanic element, another step in the right direction.

Tacimur In reply to todd-fox [2009-05-06 08:04:20 +0000 UTC]

It is. To be precise, World of Darkness is the setting for a number of games that are first and foremost pen&aper RPGs. (But there have also been computer games like Hunter and Vampire: Bloodlines) The World of Darkness is a dark, end-times version of our world, kinda gothic-punk like. Unknown to the human masses there are secret societies of supernatural beings like Werewolves, Mages, Vampires or Fae, each with their specific history and task in life.
Lots of people play WoD in online campaigns. I've tried that too but found that traditional pen&aper groups work better for me. ^^
It's got a Wikipedia entry too with links to the individual gamelines: [link]
