Description "Urrah" is the derogatory name for the tribes that live in the city and are considered 'unclean' by the more traditional tribes. So here's Backslash the Glass Walker and Uncle Sam the Bone Gnawer in a side-by-side comparison. Not the most majestic wolves there are for sure, but also far from being domesticated.
Little mood thing inspired by yesterday's session where we were forced to spend more time in Lupus form than usual, much to Backslash's dismay.

City Garou are the best Garou.

Glad to see your game is still running. I've recently started playing a prequel game to that 4yr long campaign I had a few years back. Has been great to dust off my old character and play out a bit of her history.

And, could you get back into the role easily? I knew someone who wouldn't touch their old charactes for the fear of misrepresenting them.

I had no problem. I sort of get stuck on characters though. I don't like to create/play new ones. lol.

Gah I only played a single game in this system but that was fun. Wish I'd found a regular group. Glad to see there are still peopleΒ  out there playing it.
That said, great character design and picture!

The system is alive and well. And hearing people's stories or memories is the best thing about being a fan artist, tbh. Thanks a lot!

I wonder if I still have the character sheet for my Swara... makes me want to draw her again.

If you do, note me, okay? Also, I just looked through your Alice Cooper folder and that makes me inexplicably happy. He's probably the hottest, most charismatic man to ever rock a stage.

I will, recently I've taken an interest in the whole draw-this-again idea and am currently looking through some old things to draw, and some character art is a great thing because that usually allows me to do interesting poses.

Also, great to meet someone who understands, I was beginning to wonder if I was alone being crazy enough to feel that way about Alice. So I couldn't agree more.

Aww! We have a weekly WW:tA game that goes on, too. Seriously one of the best systems for a tabletop RPG.

Hey, good to see other active players. A lot of people seem unable to find a group. Where's your game set, if I may ask? ^^

midnights0lace In reply to Tacimur [2014-07-08 17:39:23 +0000 UTC]

True! It's difficult to find players sometimes, and we just lost one due to real-life conflict, which makes me sad. Our game actually has two packs that we alternate between. Our main pack is set in a fictional town in coastal California, and our second pack was in Chicago until recently (they're currently lending a hand to the main pack's small caern). What about your group?

We are set in the present, in a nameless town in the southern USA. We also have an online Fera game set in Kenya (Nairobi) in 2006, but the players get around Africa quite a bit. ^^

Funny thing about Urrah, it apparently originally meant tainted, but over the years became a synonum for 'city garou'. So damn does it confuse a Silver Fang Galliard when city garou are proud being 'tainted' XD

My inner Philodox is freaking out at those two in lupus in the city, at least they look enough like dogs to not preach the veil.

Haha, in the story, this was a city district that was almost completely deserted save for gang activity, and our Homid forms would raise much more suspicion than the Lupus. You'd expect you'd get coyotes, mutts and all sorts of stray canids in there, not so much clean human newcomers. x)

Ah, makes sense.

Wait, Sam is clean? He actually has kept personal hygieny lately?

When Shadow Voice was still around, he gave everybody a personal gift. ... damn, that makes a lot more sense now. Sam got a piece of handmade herbal soap that was anti-allergenic and never ran out. Sam's been using it for a while now and doesn't seem to feel traiterous to his tribe at all. XD Also he's been so annoyed by the stereotypical Bone Gnawers at one point that he considered joining another tribe. It didn't happen, and so far, none of the NPCs have called him out on any of it. We, who have to live in the same rooms as him, aren't exactly complaining, either. It's bad enough that Backslash refuses to do anything about the cockroaches.

Ana-Mizuki In reply to Tacimur [2014-07-07 19:45:23 +0000 UTC]

That was really nice of Shadow-Voice ^^

Yeah, I can imagine the stereotypical Gnawers getting on his nerves. Gnawers don't have to be filthy or all totally homeless. They're a scrappy bunch who survive on little.

Aaaw, thanks! Finally someone who really understands!
Yeah, it was quite nice because being allergic to all that soap stuff was no excuse he'd like to use. Anti-allergic soap was just way too expensive for him. (Though in this district Sam would get way more attention by being clean as fresh washed dishes. His first action before the walk was rolling in the dirt. )

However, don't let them trick you. The bonegnowers-and-dirt jokes started right with the first step into that quarter. It is kind of hard to hear this stuff from the people which are even more important than any kind of family before... *sniff*

Poor guy, I imagine it was hard being -actually- allergic to soap and not as a joke.

Ah, stereotypes, don't they suck even from packmates.

It is! It's Werewolf - The Apocalypse, a roleplaying system that's been around for more than twenty years now. ^^ Maybe you've heared of it. (I liked the intro film for their 2012 kickstarter, it's rather informative. www.kickstarter.com/projects/2… )
