Obligatory late June picture. Honestly, this picture has been finished since June, it's just... couldn't get to posting it for some reason. Which this is the last Pride inspired art I had drawn, but that doesn't mean I won't be making/posting any more that's for Pride. It just won't be during June if that makes sense.

So anyway, here we have Fisi, Jake(ti) and little Asante, hidden away in a little secluded den. Enjoying the time they have with one another, and that they have Asante. Asante who is all theirs for now. Not only will she grow up as Fisi's daughter, but as Jake's as well.

See, Fisi was in a Polyamory relationship with Asante's mother, and Jake. Of course her mother and Jake weren't together, they were just into Fisi. Fisi the stinky man. But, due to complications of birth, especially hyena birth, Asante's mother passes away, leaving just Fisi and Jake. Which is kind of spurs on this picture.

Jake doesn't know if he has a right to parent Asante, or even be near her. In normal situations, he would maybe be slightly tolerated by her mother if he got near Asante, whereas Fisi would be welcomed warmly. But, now she's gone, and Fisi needs help with the kid, Jake knows the Clan conduct is to just leave it alone, but he can't just leave Fisi to deal with this alone. Fisi whose not only struggling with now being a single-parent, but with Banagi and the rest of the Clan.

So he goes to Fisi, bringing him food, talking to him from a distance, until it eventually leads to him sharing a den with him once more. Fisi reassuring him that as long as he's around, Jake is around Asante. After all, her mother would've let him come around too, she wasn't that cruel to exclude Jake from the family. He would've never been snapped at or sent away, not now or ever. They were a family.

Asante will be raised by em both in the Theluji Kingdom, and they'll both be Dad to her, and they make sure she knows about her mom as well. She when she does get older isn't as close with em, since they're... them, but she will still love them, and they will adore her as well. Though they wished she'd pick a better friend then that pesky little lion cub. And hey, if they take a snap at the dude, they take a snap at him, she'll get over it.

Sorry it isn't a big story, and description, I'm still trying to get back into the groove of things I guess. School is about to start back up, and I'm dreading that. I'll be posting another piece of work, this one isn't Pride related, but it's the only other completed piece I've made as of late and I hate leaving this place without an upload for too long. Too long without announcing a hiatus that is.
