I'm a bit confused on what's going on. Are the ships chasing the blue one? Is the blue one leading a charge somewhere? It's hard for me to tell because the 3rd ship in the back looks like a a fighter jet, which would place it with an Earth background. Is the Earth under attack and the humans are defending it? Or are they simply flying together?
Having said that, I really like the blue ship design. It's very well put together and looks like a fish to me, which would make a good design due to aerodynamics.

Ha, I'm pretty bad for not setting a clear narrative. Something I've still gotta work on.
In my head, they're just some aircraft out racing ahead for adventure. Piercing through the darkness together, if you will. Though the jet originally was going to be an antagonist, I wanted to stay away from SPACESHIP EXPLOSIONS AND DOG-FIGHTING angle. In retrospect, the picture might have been stronger without the jet.

No problem and I agree, the jet just seems out of place for what you've described.
Good luck setting your stories, I find they always help make a single image piece work better if they have a clear narative story.
