Dec 2 - Favorite Fighting Type

This one’s kinda a given. I’ve drawn Garuda Ra so many times, so I tried something different and drew him as an anthro (…whats the difference, besides now wearing a jacket as well as pants?).

Well…in the trainer universe of Pokemon, I’ve always considered them more like animals than on a level comparable to humans. Despite always having him with pants and being able to communicate with Jemilie at a minimal level, he was still in my mind sort of an animal- a lower intelligence to humans, acting more on instinct. The Pokemon in the PMD universe are anthros in a sense that they have more human characteristics than animal in terms of being able to collaborate and make a functioning advanced society despite being limited by their beast traits, have a higher tier of knowledge and reasoning and can apply their ideas without the assistance of humans, etc. Though this particular version of Ra is based more on the more aggressive trainer-verse version than the much calmer PMD-verse one.
