Description
My next plushy is done. A lovly little night fury. My very own Toothless. He is made of minky, except for his claws that are made of nici.
He is ca 90 cm (35'') long and has a wingspan of 110 cm (43'').
The eyes are patches designed by me, but created by the wonderful and talented . Thank you so much again!
The pattern is base on 's Toothless pattern, with few small customizations such as a more dureable way to connect the wings.

Wow! So good and cute! 8D
Btw, I'm making one off of her pattern too, but for me, the 2 body pieces, and the 2 belly pieces are a little different. The belly one's tail is longer than the body, and they're over all smaller. Were they like that for you? Did you just trim them, or did you sew them as they were? :3

There is a general problem with this pattern concerning seam length. You will need to correct them as you glue the paper pieces together by adding a few inches or just rounding up with a scissor. As far as I remember the body and belly aligned quite well, though. Please make sure you are printing correctly. Some programs auto-scale pictures before printing!
I personally modified the body pieces a deal, so that I could machine-sew in the wings.
I also recommend you to make the horn-back-pieces longer than defined in the pattern. Then you can connect the extra length behind the horns, yielding an extra inch of fabric or so. That should make sewing on the head a deal easier.

ok, good. x3
Yeah, the pieces seemed to print out fine. They all aligned, with only slight trimming needed, like along the edges. It was just those main parts that I had some trouble with.
Thanks very much for your help, and tips! ^^ I didn't wanna trim all that before knowing it'd be ok!

As a tip: When unsure if the pieces fit just try to assemble the body part with duct tape and the paper pieces. At least this works quite well for me.

Thanks! ^^ I sometimes do that too, but with pins. So that I do it with that before I do anything to the important/expensive fabric...
