took me awhile because i worked on it off and on, but in total time maybe a week. sculpting the foam is really easy

Extruded Polystyrene Foam made by The Dow Chemical,Β you can find it at homedepot and lowes, if not check with insulation shops or companies, they may have some or be able to point you in the right directionΒ

i did a heavy white primer first to seal the foam and then used spray paint to do all the colors (if you dont seal the foam the spray paint will eat through the foam)

What foam do you use? I've been using EVA foam to make my weapons. They look good. But I'd much rather put that foam towards my armor as opposed to a weapon.
