Description
Here's a quick update from Drive, the villainous Kamen Rider Gold Drive.Gold Drive is really the mad scientist/father of Kiriko and Gou, Banno. Banno and Krim worked together with Banno being much more drastic in his experiments on Roimudes. Just recently in the series, Banno created a dark driver which he downloaded his consciousness onto, then possessed a Roimude, transforming into Gold Drive. Already Gold Drive has proven too much for the heroes as he can easily steal their weapons and gear.
Design wise, he's just a recolor. Again. Drive seems to love it's recolors. Gotta say though, it was about time Drive got its yellow-ish rider/form, it always struck me as odd that Drive didn't have a yellow form given 1) it's a common rider/form color and 2) yellow is featured on stoplights. In the context of the story, yellow/gold being for baddies makes sense that this Gold Drive would be evil, so I'm fine with it. He doesn't have a shift car nor drive symbol/letter. The best part has gotta be the red eyes, it looks great with the rest of his color scheme. The worst part was actually nailing down the golden tint he has, since it's not quite the standard gold I would normally use, but rather closer to straight dark yellow or slight olive-ish. It's kind of a sickly color to me, but that works for a villain/mad scientist.

I would've gone with the name Kamen rider Reverse drive too because he looks like an evil counterpart to Shinnosuke's kamen rider drive hmm his figuart has been released so maybe there can be some funny images of the two acting as the flash and reverse flash

In my opinion id say that drive type speed gold drive and dark drive are kamen rider versions of flash reverse flash and zoom

Given that Banno's name is a homonym of the Japanese word for "omnipotent", I honestly would've called him OmniDrive instead.
Stealing other's weapons for his own use would make him an omnipotent villain

Someone pointed out that Dr. Banno's overall theme could be considered a carjacker given the car theme. That makes a lot of sense when you consider his powers.

KARR would be a good comparison, except Gold Drive doesn't have his own vehicle; all he copied from Krim was the belt form. A carjacker is an appropriate theme for him.

When I made the 3D model of this guy, I went with the more yellowish-gold color. It honestly looks better to me with that coloring.

This is a great Rider design and all, but my problem here is the name. This guy is gold, black, and red, he looks like an insect (as most Riders do), he looks evil and imposing, like a certain flying insect, and this is all in a car-themed Rider series.
Toei had the perfect chance to call this guy Kamen Rider Hornet , and they instead use the name "Gold Drive". Idiots.

How about just "Kamen Rider Reverse Drive?"
Think about it, he's the opposite of Drive in every way: Drive is a human with a living belt as a partner, Gold Drive is a living belt controlling his user. Drive uses powers through emotion, willpower, and personal growth; Gold Drive steals powers from his enemies.

Yea the name is kinda lame. I would've liked a name that alludes to Banno's goals. Like, 'Dispatch' would've sounded kinda cool and in some ways defines what Banno's motivations are, rather than just being a golden Drive.

Well, if you look closely, this Rider is a copy of Proto-Drive and Drive Types Speed and High Speed, meshed into one. So this gold, black, and red color scheme looks nothing short of an insect, but rather a supercar.

I'm not sure how I feel about this guy. I get why they used the gold color scheme, with the Ultimate evolution and all, but it just looks so...last minuet. Like they ran out of time and needed something quick and easy. I feel like they could have at least gave him different shoulder pads, or remove the 'R' Logo on his head. But the design isn't bad; the colors are nice and the tire-ish thing he has does look cool.

Yea it does. I do agree the R should've been removed. It's weird that the belt is blank/sans letter, but the 'rider R' was left on the helm, I guess it now stands for Roimude.

I personally see the Blank Belt as him putting his consciousness into the body he's using, so I can get around that. But the Drive Driver itself looks pretty good in black though.
