For , as a part of.. something. It's been a long time since I started working on it and had it finished. It was sort of a gift/art trade/commission trade/thing. (I think it was a gift that she then made the most beautiful Milotic sculpt for me. <3)This is by far the most complex bag I have ever made. It was based on the bag that the "Beauty" trainer has in Pokemon: diamond, Pearl, and Platinum. (I think)
The bag is structured similar to how Gucchi makes their handbags. Only, with a little more Taikxo style~!
The bag features a very rare yarn from the 80's. The tan part of the handle, as well as the trim to the bag is all made from a cotton-acrylic blend, that has gold foil twisted into it. (That in its self was the most expensive part to the bag. That little hank of yarn runs for $90 for about 200 feet.)
The rest of the bag, is made in simple Red Heart in Tan and Chocolate.
The bag has a very wide measurement, to allow the Skitty plushie I made to fit inside.
It has a Zipper pocket, as well as a loose pocket.
It also features a custom cell phone, and DSi pockets. (Made to fit~!)
The handle has a belt strap woven inside of it to prevent it from stretching, and to add durability to the bag.
The bag snaps together with two snaps that have been positioned to the front.
There are 2 Pokeball motifs, to show off the true origins of this beautiful creation.
The text on the pack says "Poketto Monsuta" Which means "Pocket Monster". (Long hand for Pokemon~!)
The right side of the bag as a small hole worked into the fabric to allow different cusom keychains and pokeballs to be cinched into the bag.
There is also a extra pencil case/ large clutch bag, that is made from a pokemon print fabric that was discontinued in the late 90's.
All of this was done in about 15 hours of work, with a lot of love and frustration. XD
All done in Single crochet, with a 5.50 hook. <3
This also happened to be modeled by the wonderful new owner.
The price to buy something like this is through the roof. XD I had Sara take out insurance on this baby

I have been trying very hard to crochet my very own gamer's bag complete with pockets but sadly I have absolutely no clue how to achieve such an awesome design like this one you made. I only know how to double crochet for the moment so maybe that is why I am having a very bad time with achieving this. T_T

I love this bag so much! I'm going to be making my own bag that is somewhat similar to this one, but I'm making it even bigger and lined with fabric. This has given me such inspiration!

I've totally grown away from pokemon, but this bag is rockin! I'm actually considering playing pokemon for my old gameboy advance because of you! Way to freakin go :] Maybe someday I'll be able to crochet that well. Thanks for the inspiration!

This reminds me of the bag I rencently made for my brother who just turned sixteen. Not pokemon related, but the amount of love and hours of hard work are the same. If had ended up not loving it, I would have cried(and kept the bag for myself, it turned out more awesome then I thought it would)! Amazing job on this, Taikxo!
