I have had many Nikons different models (digital) the z7 is a smaller frame (body) and there is a button that moves the focal point around that is too close to your thumb and I have a small hand I can imagine someone with a bigger hand would have more problems than I. Also a button too close to your thumb autofocus on. If your thumb pushes it the cam fires a wasted shot. The frame (body} is just to small for my liking. I have not on purpose pushed them while holding the cam away from my eyes to see the full vision in front of me. So you bring up to shot and the focal point has moved way right, left or to the bottom. You have to turn off and back on the get it back to the middle. Pushing the AF on button fires the cam no matter the cam position as in holding the cam down to view the scene.

Wow...Can you return it ...go back to a D7000s. Cameras ?? This sounds as you said you have small hands ..for that much money Bigger Guys Bigger Hands will want strangle someone..Maybe Nikon being a Dealer like Auto Dealer will trade you out of it and into something enjoyable...🤔

I'm looking into the D850 much closer to what I am used to. I still have the D610 full frame but not near the new higher pixel count and image size as the D850 or the z7.

In the 80s here again today sunshine both days but windy today, Cardinals seem to love the snow. Last time I had snow I shot several images of them enjoying it LOL

Today was not a good day Russ...

Am not going to whine too much, LOL, 
but just got to say that all my birds are
tough little critters for sure...They held
on all day through this blizzard we are
in the middle of.....

Tomorrow will be better, fingers crossed
